About Mychaela

Mychaela is a broadcast and business voice coach, journalist and voiceover artist. She works part-time as a lecturer at Northumbria University, specialising in broadcast journalism. She has strong links with the University of Sunderland and has provided voice training to media students from all over the world. Mychaela also delivers voice and presentation workshops to international clients with large and small businesses.

Career

She began her career in radio at Metro FM and then moved to London to work as a newsreader, reporter and editor for Independent Radio News. She presented bulletins that were broadcast to more than two-hundred radio stations across the country, including Capital, Jazz FM, Classic FM and Talk Sport.

Mychaela moved back to the North East in 2001 and worked  in television for fifteen years, as a News Producer, Web Editor and Content Editor for ITV Tyne Tees and Border Television.

In 2016 she set up Voice and Media, combining, her expertise in voice training and journalism, with her love of teaching and writing.

Mychaela graduated with a Masters in Creative Writing in December 2017. She also has a First in English (BA Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Radio and Television Journalism.

She lives in the North East of England with her family.
